Letters to Hazel 2

Hazel Nut,

I can't believe you're already one!  I can't believe I have been lucky enough to be your mom for a whole year now.  Hands down it has been the most wonderful year of my life.  Every little laugh and smile melts my heart.  Your cuddles every night are my favorite, and as much as I complain about you sleeping with me and dad each night, I secretly love it.  I can't wait to go to bed so I can get my cuddles from my sweet girl.

Today I just want you to know how much I love you.  I hope you always, always remember that.  My love for you continues to grow every single day.  I sometimes feel like my heart is going to burst because of how much I love you.  I had no idea I could love someone as much as I love you.

You make my life magical and special and beautiful.  Already I can tell that you have such a big heart.  You make sure to give me a hug every morning, and you're the sweetest little girl to other babies.  You're going to be someone to look up to, I know it.  You are so special and make me want to become a better person.

Hazel, I love you.  I love you with my whole entire heart.  I love you all the way to the moon and back.  You were exactly what I needed in life.  I know without a doubt that Heavenly Father sent you to me because I needed you.   You will never know just how amazing you have made my life.  I am so happy I have a little girl to follow me around and be my best friend.  I am the luckiest mom ever!

You're beautiful, Haze.

One year older and wiser too

A Peach

This stinker got mad at me and bit me today.
Is she even old enough to know to do that?
She's a peach.
I love her.

Bossy

Oops.

It's been a reeallly long time since I've blogged.  I can't help it, Hazel keeps me busy. She has become the bossiest of girls, and I think I'm in trouble with this one. I will admit that I think the blame of that is to fall upon her parents.

We're pushovers, to put it lightly.
Hazel doesn't like going to bed at night unless all three of us are in bed together.  So off we go to bed at 9:30 every night.  It takes me an extra hour to get her to bed if Tyler's gone.

We've tried letting her cry it out.  But she cries and cries and cries and yells and doesn't ever stop.  You do not want to make this little girl mad.  She has a temper like you wouldn't believe.

BUT when shes's happy, she's really happy.  I think I'll keep her.

Hurray, more videos.  Anything for Auntie Sonia.

And that is what happens when daddy is gone and it's time to go to bed.  Take note that I was definitely in bed with her.  She has such a hard life.

She's in love with her dad.  And me too, of course.

Remember when she would barely even smile?  Now all you need to do is make a loud noise.  She'll think that you're hilarious.

She loves herself.

Soooo sleepy, but no way is she going to miss out on the bumpy ride.

And she's a beautiful dancer.  Ask her to dance, and nine times out of ten she'll do it for you.  Every time she hears music that little bum starts to shake.  She's my favorite.

And more videos to come in another 2 months probably!  They take so stinkin' long to upload!

Obsessed

Warning:  This post is FULL of videos and pictures and adoration of Hazel.  My obsession with this little girl gets stronger every day.

Okay....Stop it, Hazel.
I can't make that picture any bigger or else it goes off the page. BUT click on it, and you'll get the full effect. She's not so much a baby anymore, and that kind of makes me sad.   Please stay a baby for a little bit longer, Baby Girl.  Your momma would appreciate that.

Video No. 1
I realize that most babies Hazel's age have been laughing for a long time and that maybe it isn't such a big deal anymore.  It just so happens that she's the most serious baby ever, though. (I wonder where she got that from). She's maybe laughed four times in her life.   Naturally, I feel obligated to share her laughter with the world.  It's so rare that you just might get a video every single time she laughs.

Ps. Ignore my baby talk, as attractive as it is.  And sorry if you get dizzy watching it. I'm awesome at multi-tasking.

Video No. 2
This made me laugh my face off.  I don't know what she was doing.  She's just a hoot.

That was probably sideways.  They're all probably going to be sideway.  I don't feel like flipping them.

Let's take a little break from the videos and look at her cute bum.  Poor little Hazel has no privacy.

Video No. 3
She wants to move SO bad.  I'm sure as soon as I post this, she'll be crawling for real.  She's so so close.  She gets so frustrated that she can't move.

No, she never has clothes on.  She's either naked or has a undershirt on.  She drools all over everything and gets soaking wet. It's really pointless to dress her.

Video No. 4
Are you sick of videos yet?  Fine, just one more.  Her new trick.  She's such a smarty pants.

Sonia, I know how much Ken loves watching videos of Hazel with you, so these are just for him!  If he's not as obsessed as we are, we will make him be. ha ha ha....

Letters to Hazel 1

Dear Hazel,
I am happy.
Happy that I get to be the mom of your perfect face.

Happy that I have a healthy you (who doesn't seem to take a break from growing EVER).

Happy that you love me and dad more than anyone else in the world.  I have never been loved this much.  I always tell dad how special you make me feel.  I don't think anyone else in the world could make me feel the way you do.   Seeing you getting so excited to see me in the morning is my FAVORITE part of the day.

Today, I just want to remind YOU to always be happy.  You are so beautiful and so loved.
Happy girls are the prettiest.

Let's talk some more about Hazel

Well hello, September.  Haven't you just come way too soon.  I'd like summer to come back, please and thank you.  Honestly....where has summer gone?  August just zoomed on by without me even noticing.  I hate winter.  I'm dreading it with all my heart. I don't know why I live here.

On a more positive note, take a look at this little gem. As you're all quite aware, I'm a little bit obssessed with this sweet girl.

As summer was flying by this year, I was busy kissing and smooching and cuddling and staring at baby girl.  I just don't want to miss anything she does. I want to remember every moment with her.  I want everything she does engraved in my mind.  I can't even remember her being a tiny baby anymore I don't think.  She just grows like a weed.

At 4 and a half months, Hazel:
1.  Loves herself.  She'll smile and talk to herself in the mirror for hours.

2. Loves puppy dogs.  For about one week she'd laugh whenever she'd see a jumping puppy dog. We have tried and tried and tried to make her laugh since, but she won't do it.

3.  Loves her bath times, as I'm sure  most babies do.

4.  Sleeps in mom and dad's bed because we're suckers and she gets whatever she wants.  She sleeps 12 hours though, so we can't complain.

5. Will only fall asleep with a soother in her mouth and a blanket over her head. Weirdo.

6. Hates when we're not paying attention to her.

7.  Refuses to smile once we leave our house.  She goes stone-faced, and unless you're lucky, she won't give you the time of day.

And we just love her to pieces. We think that every little thing she does is the cutest, we think that she's the smartest baby in the world, we can't stop talking about her, we think she's just a little miracle, and I could go on and on.  We're in love!

P.s.  We miss Auntie Sonny! She was the most beautiful bride I've ever seen.  I'm so proud of her! We love you, Sonia!

P.s.s.  We miss Auntie Sariah and Auntie Steph and Uncle Travis and Uncle Ken too!  We love you all!
